What We Do
The Italian Village Society serves in four
capacities:
- Fiscal Agent -- Various neighborhood
projects use the Society's 501(c)(3)
(tax-exempt) status to fund their
projects.
- Neighborhood Representative --
The Society frequently sends
representitives to various community
organizations and task forces to assure that the Village's interests are advised.
- Public Forum -- Through monthly general meetings, the Society acts as a forum for issues as they arise in the neighborhood, such as business and residential development, traffic, and safety.
- Nominating Authority -- Society members elect a Board of Trustees annually and also elect nominees to the Italian Village Commission.
Membership is available to any person or organization residing or owning property or operating a business or having an interest in Italian Village or who simply has a desire to promote and invest in the community.
